Leave it to me

Post by Stevenloan » Wed Nov 06, 2019 4:19 pm

Hi everybody! My brother and I are watching TV in the living room and suddenly the front door bell rings. I want to tell my brother that I'll go open the door. Which of the following two phrases is more suitable in this case?

1. I'll get it.
2. Leave it to me.

Thanks very much!

Both are fine.

US/UK usage note:

US: "go open"

UK: "go and open"
