Reach

Hi everybody! I tried many times contacting an old friend of mine but he didn't answer his phone and didn't text or call me back, either. Finally, I called him again and he picked up the phone and talked to me. I would like to tell him that it's so difficult to contact him. Are the sentences below used correctly in this situation?

1. You're not an easy person to reach.
2. It's extremely hard to reach you.

Thanks a lot!

Either is a very good method of telling someone that it would be a good idea if the answered their telephone once in a while!
