A: Which is the best city to walk around and experience the Christmas Season and why?
B: NYC by far. No place else comes close.

- Hi everyone! Will it also sound natural to say "No place else is similar to it" rather than "No place else comes close" in this situation?

Your answers will be highly appreciated.

Not really. "No place comes close" means that it is so much better than any other choice, it's hardly worth comparing. Saying "no place is similar" is not nearly as strong (of) a statement.
