Bob,

I ran a search on this website, and came across several postings of greater or lesser relevance to your question.

On balance, I thought that this one, which was kicked off by someone purporting to be "Bobinwales" (ha! — pull the other one — it's got shabluls on it!) seemed like the best fit. :-)

Oh strewth! I have absolutely no memory of that thread! It must be age. Some nice names from the past there though.

HTML code calls it the "at symbol". Unicode calls it the "commercial at".

I am having trouble working out whether it ought to be ⠮ (as in ⠏⠓⠊⠇⠮⠅⠑⠽⠘⠺⠤⠞⠗⠁⠝⠎⠇⠁⠞⠊⠕⠝⠎⠲⠉⠕⠍). Learning to read at 57 is not as easy as I thought. It's a bit like trying to repair a watch with a hammer and chisel.

Obviously, somebody is required who can inject some sanity into proceedings here.

Sadly, Catherine says she's too busy.

And when, pray, was sanity a criterion of anything on Wordwizard?

Sanity has its uses, but madness is more interesting.

I'm not sure I believe in the Sanity Clause.
