Hi guys! When a company has to permanently stop producing a certain product because of the products' weaknesses. Is this action called "declare the death of (name of the product)"?

That product or product line is "discontinued", known in the business as "discoing"
"I think we have to disco that mutton-flavoured ice cream."

You can also axe, shelve or pull an unsuccessful product, or give it the chop.

Discoing, in that sense, is a new one on me.
