Decorating a Christmas tree

A and B are decorating a Christmas tree. A has a nice Christmas ball on her hand but doesn't know where to put it on the tree. So A asks for B's opinion. Which question below fits better in this situation?

1. Where do you think I should put this?
2. Where do you think this should go?

Both questions work well.

Those balls are usually known as Christmas tree {ornaments / decorations / baubles}.
