Awfully steep

A guy asks a lawyer about his fees.

“I charge $50 for three questions,” the lawyer says.

That’s awfully steep, isn’t it?” the guy asks.

“Yes, I suppose so,” the lawyer replies. “Now what’s your final question?”

- Hi everybody! Is it also perfectly natural to say "That's way too expensive, isn't it?" rather than "That's awfully steep, isn't it?" in this case?

Your answers will be greatly appreciated.

You most certainly can Steven.
I'm just a bit puzzled about the second question. What is it?

EDIT . . .My thanks to Erik who has answered my question in the post below this.
I feel a bit ashamed of myself for missing something so obvious!
