B: People have the right to drive whatever makes them happy. I think the people who modify diesels so they blow black smoke and crap all over everything should be open season. I personally have a truck(an old one with dents) that I use as a truck. For towing and hauling stuff. It also serves as a backup to my car. I think cars that are easier on gas are a better commuter vehicle. But whatever.

To "go easy" or "be easier" on someone or something means to be gentle on. In this case, a car that is easier on gas is a car that uses less gas.
"My new eight cylinder truck is much harder on gas than my old six-banger"
