A: I dated my boyfriend for 2 years long distance. we recently broke up because he said he couldnt plan for our future and he didnt want to interfere with me achieving my personal goal of marriage and children in the near future. over the years i developed a strong working relationship with his sister. I havent talked to him in over a week, i continue to talk to his sister about business but i get in my feelings when communicating with her because it makes me think about and miss him. is it weird to continue the work relationship with his sister or should I not let that get in the way of my business?

B: I think it would be okay to continue your association with her as a friend and business associate only if you can keep your mouth shut about her brother and about your "feelings" about the break up. That is absolutely essential if you value HER. If you can't keep your mouth shut about those things then you are in trouble, you and she will definitely hit an awkward spot in your friendship and business relationship.

- Hi guys! I couldn't find the meaning of "hit an awkward spot" online. So I guess in this case it means "will be put in an awkward situation". Is it correct?

Thanks a lot!

Yes. The implied point is that the sister of the ex-boyfriend will be forced to take sides if Person A keeps complaining about the ex, with likely adverse effects on her business relationship with Person A.
