A: Half Of Couples Pee In Front Of Each Other To ‘Strengthen Bond,’ Survey Says.

B: Maybe this goes for friends too. Lol.

- Hi guys! I Googled the meaning of “go for” and it has several meanings. 1. Choose something 2. Like or admire 3. Try to have or achieve something 4. To be sold for a certain amount of money. I think these 4 meanings do not fit in this case. Is it correct? If not, what does it mean in this situation?

Thanks a lot!

Steve, in this case, "goes for" means that something that was said previously also applies to, or is true of, someone or something else.

"Joe, you need to spend more time in the office. Bob, that goes for you, too."

Joe needs to spend more time in the office, and so does Bob.

I don't think Bob is going to be too happy about having to spend more time in the office.

I thought it would be preferable to lumping freight on the Swansea Docks...

Bugger that! I retired 8 years ago and when I locked my office for the last time,
I swore that I would never enter one again and sit that side of the desk.
This retirement business is the best job I ever had. I do miss bank holidays though.
