Wedding

- Hi everyone! I want to ask my friend and his fiancée if they want to invite lots of people or a few people to their wedding ceremony and reception. Is it correct to ask "Are you and your fiancée a big wedding type or a small intimate type?"?

Thanks very much!

In your situation, I would probably ask them something like "Are you thinking of going for a big fancy wedding or a small intimate one?"

I seem to remember people having a "quiet wedding" as opposed to a "white wedding". I have no idea if youngsters still use the terms.
