Re: Bad memory
Steven, I hope you realised my answer was a joke.
The words you choose really depend on the nature of the forgetfulness.
- absentminded may mean the person's mind was on other, more important, things.
- forgetful is a basic description
- dreamy or away-with-the-fairies
- amnesic
- preoccupied
- negligent

Re: Bad memory
I had an aunt who used to say I was away with the fairies - I hated that. But I was a day-dreaming child.
Did a google search & found "memory like a sieve." Now why didn't I remember that!

I usually say that I did have a good memory but I have forgotten what I did with it.
