Too high a sentence

Post by Stevenloan » Fri May 10, 2019 11:04 am

A: A judge has sentenced the fake German heiress Anna Sorokin to four to 12 years in prison for defrauding hotels, restaurants, a private jet operator and banks out of more than $200,000.
B: That is too high a sentence / That sentence is too harsh / That is too severe of a sentence.

Hi everybody! Among the three sentences of B, which one is the most suitable in this situation?

Thanks a lot!

Either of the first two would be perfectly satisfactory, as would be the third if it had read,
"That is too severe a sentence" (without 'of').
