Mouth thing

Hi you guys! What do you call the piece of clothing that is around the girl's mouth in the following link (the first picture)? In action movies, kidnappers usually put this thing around the kidnapping victims.

Thanks so much!

It's a gag.

The action is "gagging", the item is a "gag". The gag can be made from anything, in this case probably a tie, scarf, or handkerchief. For less pretty people the gag that seems most loved in films id duct tape.

By the way her name, if I recognise my Chinese actresses, has a rather nice pun. Zhao Wei sound like zowie which is an exclamation of gratifying amazement. Used, memorably by Mr Fielding, in "Some Like It Hot". An example here at 2:37 in https://youtu.be/NMqcICtij0M

PS I have been told it can't be Zhao Wei as this actress is a mite younger.

With the right context almost anything can sound appropriate.

Are they fashion models or are the pictures from a movie? If the latter, I'd like to see it - as long as it has subtitles. It looks like it would be fun - sort of James Bond-ish.
