Are these sentences correct:

1) Real-life pirates did not dress as you see in films.
2) Real-life pirates did not dress like those you see in films.


3) Real-life bandits were not well-groomed as you see in certain films.
4) Real-life bandits were not well-groomed like those you see in certain films.

(In certain films, bandits are well-groomed. Real-life bandits were not well-groomed at all.)

5) In our country, dissidents are not treated as you see in propagandistic films.
6) In our country, dissidents are not treated like those you see in propagandistic films.

(In our country, dissidents are not treated in the manner shown in propagandistic films.)

7) In our country, dissidents are not treated with respect as you see in propagandistic films.
8) In our country, dissidents are not treated with respect like those you see in propagandistic films.

(In propagandistic films, dissidents are treated with respect in our country. That is not the case in reality.)
