Is this sentence correct:
The hospital staff, including Dr. Sheehan posing as Aule and a nurse posing as Rachel Solando, were part of the test, and the migraines that Laeddis suffered were withdrawal symptoms from his medication, as well as hallucinating the "real Rachel Solando".

I guess the meaning is '.... the migraines that Laeddis suffered, as well as HIS hallucinating the 'real Rachel Solando', were withdrawals symptoms from his medication.'
I suppose one would need a comma after 'Sheehan' and another one after 'nurse'. Aside from that, I think the sentence is grammatical, but to me it seems a bit confusing.
Gratefully,

I think you are correct. I also guess that the sentence has the meaning you suggest. It is an ugly, confusing piece of prose. The use of the transitive "hallucinate" like this and the odd placement of "as well as" suggest to me that it was not penned by a native speaker.

.. Navi I call this a "run-on sentence" in that the writer has used "and" in a confusing manner to continue writing the one long sentence .. if you remove the "and" to make it two sentences then it is easier to understand >>
The hospital staff, including Dr. Sheehan posing as Aule and a nurse posing as Rachel Solando, were part of the test.and The migraines that Laeddis suffered were withdrawal symptoms from his medication, as well as hallucinating the "real Rachel Solando".
.. it may even be better to re-write the second sentence as >>
As well as hallucinating the "real Rachel Solando", Laeddis suffered with migraines as a withdrawal symptoms from his medication.
WoZ who does withdraw
