Vulgar Language

Post by Archived Topic » Thu Dec 20, 2001 4:22 pm

Vulgar language is used in all types of music, especially in rap and pop. Although songwriters use common vulgar words in their lyrics, it does not enhance the beat or rhythm of a song. They use these lyrics to enitce teenagers to buy their music. Pop singer Meridith Brooks' song includes the lyrics, "I'm a Bitch". Rapper Juvenille uses the lyrics, "Back That Ass Up". Songwriters feel that vulgar language in their music is necessary in order to sell hit songs.
