EFFWORDS: Scrabble meets Apples to Apples!
EFFWORDS: Scrabble meets Apples to Apples!
Hey everyone! I could use some help with a game I'm designing called EFFWORDS. It's like Scrabble, but here's the catch: players can only play fake words that they make up!
Each turn, one player plays a fake word, and the rest of the players have to submit cards with definitions to define the word. The player who submitted the best definition earns points.
Playtesting has gone really well so far, and I’ve come up with about 400 definitions! The problem is that some of the definitions fall flat, and I could use some help writing some better ones.
If you want to help, please post some advice! Or if you have definitions of your own in mind, post those as well! I'll make sure to give you credit in the game!! :)
If you are interested in keeping up with the project, you can follow me on Twitter, Tumblr, or Facebook. You can also post your definitions there as well!
Oh, here are a few of my favorite definitions so far:
1. The unlikely but delicious combination of french fries and ice cream.
2. The stuff mystery meat is made of.
3. The monsters under your bed.
4. The secrets dolphins tell each other.
5. A taco with a vengeance.

Re: EFFWORDS: Scrabble meets Apples to Apples!
.. best of luck hoost .. the compulsory Dictionary of Effwords will naturally follow and be known as the Effdic .. a reality TV show where each week a person with the least number of Eff words is taken, at the end of the show, to a foreign land where nobody speaks english and is left there with only a passport and $10 .. this is known as lingustranding and can be fatal .. there will be a spin-off TV show where an Effdromist specialist will diagnose people's problems and tell them which Cydrome they have and give them the website where they can join a support group .. there will be a live aspect of this show where people, who have self-diagnosed their Cydrone through YouTube, can skype in live and tell how they recovered using heurocybosism ..

LMAO! You are brilliant!
If I ever create an Effwords Dictionary, would it be alright if I called it Effdic?? That's just genius.

Oh I didn't even notice the quote in your signature! That would be a really wonderful quote to put somewhere in the game. Someone suggested that I also put this funny Sarah Palin tweet somewhere: "'Refudiate,' 'misunderestimate,' 'wee-wee'd up.' English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it!'"
