Twisted definitions

Here's where you can set a challenge or invite other Wordwizard members to take part in a word-related game of some kind.

To stop things getting too confusing, it's probably best to create a separate thread for each new game or challenge.

Can anyone think up new words that are formed by slightly altering existing ones in a fun way?

Here's a few of mine to start:

Anthraxite - A particularly unpleasant form of fossil fuel.

Bluffalo - A bull that may or may not be about to charge.

Cluckoo clock - A European timepiece that chimes the song of a chicken once every hour.

Clustomers - A huddle of shoppers that other people have to go around.

Coniference - A convention of pine-lovers.

Deafeat - The result of failing to hear an order to retreat.

Deskimo - A Canadian hunter-gatherer who has joined the government.

Penguini - A kind of pasta developed by Falkland Islanders.

Snyphilis - A contagious nasal drip.

Swiss barmy knife - A complicated pocket tool designed by referendum.
