This Canadian author offers a completely new world, full of strange, yet so ordinary things and people. She describes a world thousands of years far from us, but after peeling the first layer, you see that we are so close to ceasing to be people.
I like her work because it's something new, something refreshing and awakening.
All of her books are great, but my personal favorites are "The Penelopiad" and "The Blind Assassin".
Read it, you won't regret.
