favourite bumper stickers

We've created this area in the hope of seeing material ranging from some well-told (or well retold) jokes to original writing with a humorous slant, or anything else that might appeal to the kind of person who enjoys playing with words more than people. That probably means someone like yourself. N.B. -- Postings preceded by ** contain some sexual or risqué content. (Makes them easier to find.)

[h]Posted - 22 Jan 2008 : 06:18:20[/h]Over the years I have seen many great bumper stickers, but, unfortunately, I usually don't write them down and they are lost and forgotten. Here's a place to record and share some good ones.

I didn't actually see this one, but read of it in yesterday's Sunday New York Times. In an interview Barack Obama's sister said, I have a bumper sticker on my car that says:
[h]
1-20-09. End of an Error.

I believe the correct site for something like this is at keepersoflists.org. That is, unless WooWooLand has a new feature I didn't know about.

Actually, Ian, I believe favorite bumper stickers HAS been discussed here before, although I couldn't find it using Control-F and "bumper." As I recall, it was a discussion about something far removed from bumper stickers, but in typical WooWooLand fashion, we wizzes didn't let that "deter" us from "detouring" the discussion! *G* Maybe someone else can find the earlier postings.

And, for the record (as if anyone cares), MY personal favorite is "Dyslexics of the World, Untie!" *G*

I have "The Christian Right is Neither" on my car, Shay. Two more of my favorites: "Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm a schizophrenic . . . and so am I!" and "I still miss my ex, but my aim is getting better."

And Ian thought this wasn't the proper forum for this discussion! *G*

I'm a strictly nonviolent person, mostly, but I did enjoy this one. "Guns don't kill people. I do."

When I went out to visit my son on Parents Weekend at college last fall (he's a freshman), I saw the following bumper sticker: "At college, my son is doing well at everything but school."

After a family visit I was reminded of the Baby on Board window stickers (which are almost an announcement of poor driving abilities) and humerous parody which stated Mother-in-law in Trunk.
