Along with several colleagues, I wept when England lost to Iceland. Tears of joy. I despise this tacit assumption in England that we have the best league in the world, the best players in the world and, potentially the best team in the world and that it's about time that all these jumped-up foreign teams recognized it and let us win once in a while.

Well done Wales! I am absolutely looking forward to the Wales v. Iceland final!

I don't follow football but I thought the England team was and has been a bit of a joke for decades. I didn't realise it was supposed to be good. Rather like the Eurovision.
