Is it just me or did WW disappear for a few days?

With the right context almost anything can sound appropriate.

It disappeared. I'm happy to see it back. Another forum I read disappeared the next day & came back today.

It's nice to know we're missed. As I said in the announcement, there was a technical problem with a wallet clasp.

The announcement (= the explanation, in this case) followed the event.

Phil in the rebuild, if such happens, I was thinking maybe Page 3 girls, or occasionally Page 3 boy or Page 3 x, might pull a few members or at least keep the old greymads happy.

WoZ thinking of others

I have just spent most of the day looking at the very latest development version of the forum software and can see very few things that excite me there.

Seriously, while we greybeards may feel comfortable with the site as it is, it feels very dated, particularly for mobile and tablet users. I am even considering moving to a completely new platform, which will irritate the older Wizards far more than exotic punktuation...

In my youth I used to be fascinated by the chemist crushing a powder into tablets, then manufactured tablets, then child proof jars. I am of the considered opinion that the modern use of tablets and apps on smartphones is unlikely to be part of my life.

But I do know that technology needs to "keep up".
