Steve the use of unstable with reference to weather is a bigger term. Unstable weather refers to the atmospheric patterns that collide to cause major weather events. It is not used with local daily changes.

That is how I have always understood language to be. This comes from my Linguistic studies, oh the foolish days of youth, and psych studies, even more foolish days, and personal observations. Counting is another good topic to observe the difference between cultures.

Steve I would use the would tangy or tart , Both of these words encompass an acidic feel in the mouth. Depending upon the individual it can be unpleasant.
