If it is a "speaker" you are writing about, and not a writer, then the tones and cadence would convey as much information as context would. I'm not sure what version was being looked-at "many years ago", but the KJV and NIV and Zondervan Greek Interlinear don't have rabble in Acts 17. "Rabble" appears twice in the NIV Old Testament, though...and of course, that is not necessarily the term in the original or early copies. What version we...
