This topic is getting too hazy,
With adjectives horribly crazy,
So fried is my brain,
I'm going insane,
Thy rhythm is also quite lazy.

I've always heard it was a squirrel that proved the chickens wrong.

knockoff / knock off

I have heard the expression, "to knock someone off." It means to kill them. Also, "Knock it off!!!" - "Quit it!!!"

public convenience

I stopped saying bathroom and started using restroom a long time ago. Now I'm wondering why I say restroom.

I don't know about others, but when I hear someone say, "I'm going to use the toilet," I automatically think about the commode and what happens there. Could be just me.

Ok! I can't stand it any longer. Here's my favorite limerick that I haven't forgotten since grade school. Ahem.. There once was a woman from Linn, Who was so excessively thin, Than when she essayed, To drink lemonade, She slipped through the straw and fell in! Any more? And did I spell "Linn" right?...

Hickory Tea

Good one. Chicory is pretty tough, though, and it's seeds are burs that stick to your clothes. I'd have to think about it.

Baloney!!

When we say, "Baloney!!" are we actually using the word, "blarney" and pronouncing it wrong? A few years ago, after I read about the Blarney stone, and how it was supposed to give the power of flattery to the person who kissed it, I automatically thought, "Oh, baloney!!"
