Community organizers are a much better bet......they know NOTHING like the back of their hand. They are, of course, probably only mavericks. ;-)
If so, whatever you do don't vote for them!

Re: Mean grandpa has lost his cow
I find the building of any demonitational religious center at ground zero to be wrong. Yes, few believers favour religious centres being devoted to devil-worship -- even the ones who live along the eastern seaboard (such as your good self), or who are infected with Salemonella. Perhaps I should lay...

Re: Mean grandpa has lost his cow
I must be one of those ignant publicans but I find the building of any demonitational religious center at ground zero to be wrong. People of ALL religions were killed. As far as supreme court appointments, it has always been the case that the party in power pick the candidate that reflects the belie...

Re: Huzzah?
Thank you for the additional info Woz! I can appreciate the expression a bit more, although scraping this away from the annoying experience of having a 50 year old nerd, with a large plume in his cowboy hat (poking me every 14 seconds AND obstructing my view of the joust) shouting HAZZAH (and even m...

I couldn't agree with Moogler any more! Voltaire supports this notion eloquently with: “He must be very ignorant for he answers every question he is asked” Of course, I'd probably be more inclined to admit my ignorance and move on, unless it really piqued my interest. I was curious about the occupat...

Huzzah?
I went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday and heard many enthusiasts yelling out this term. I looked it up on merriem with the following: Main Entry: huz·zah Variant(s): or huz·za \(ˌ)hə-ˈzä\ Function: noun Etymology: origin unknown Date: 1573 : an expression or shout of acclaim —often used inter...

Re: up to task vs. up to it
To me, 'up to it' bears more of a connotation of having the physical and mental energy to complete the task successfully, whereas up to task connotes a sense of preparedness. IMHO

My shout. >> Put your wallet away. >> Your money's no good in this restaurant. >> You get it next time.
